EASTHAM BOARD OF ASSESSORS
Minutes of August 24, 2011 Meeting
Assessor Sette called the meeting of the Board of Assessors to order at 2:00 p.m. in the Small Meeting Room.
Present: Assessors Sette, Fagan and Buffington, Selectman Martin McDonald, Deputy Assessor Gail McAleer and Field Appraiser Belinda Eyestone.
OLD BUSINESS:
The Board VOTED unanimously to APPROVE the minutes of the July 26, 2011 meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
Gail McAleer gave an overview of the proposed FY12 valuations. Due to the lack of sales in 2010, the Department of Revenue requires that we use 2 years of sales in order to have the required data sample for analysis. The FY12 is an interim year and plans are to submit proposed values to the Department of Revenue by mid August and to have the Classification Hearing on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in order to have tax bills mailed by October 1, 2011.
FY12 Exemptions were signed by the Board.
